~ Accompanying O’Carolan in the 21st c.
Since the music of Turlough O’Carolan was created, played
and taught aurally, it can be difficult to know how to create a
left-hand accompaniment for his compositions. Learn some simple
tricks for the left-hand that you can then easily apply to most
of his music, seamlessly bridging his melodies with present-day
arrangements. We will learn by ear, with handouts at the end of
class. A recording device is welcome. Limit: 3. 1 1⁄2 hrs.

~ Getting Jiggy with the Irish Harp
While it’s easy enough to learn an Irish dance tune by ear

jig that gets feet tapping. We will learn by ear, with handouts
at the end of class. A recording device is welcome. Limit: 3 1 1⁄2
